Jackpot City is attempting to stand out in Ontario’s increasingly saturated online casino landscape by offering Torontonians free cab rides with the chance to win cash prizes for the second straight summer.
From July 28 to Aug. 30, the online casino is bringing back the free cab campaign offering complimentary rides in purple-wrapped Co-op Cabs with digital taxi tops. The campaign is being executed by Statements Media.
New this year, starting on Aug. 4, one rider will have the chance to win a cash prize with the stakes rising each week, starting with a $1,000 giveaway and increasing to $5,000, $10,000 and culminating in $20,000 in the contest’s final week.
Brett White, head of JackpotCity Ontario, tells strategy that after last summer’s inaugural free ride campaign, “the grassroots initiative exceeded all expectations and provided valuable insights into community-focused marketing approaches.”
“We wanted to break the mould from traditional casino advertising and use a concept that would create positive chatter,” White adds. “The response was so incredible that we knew we had to take this to the next level. Jackpot City Casino’s community-focused approach serves as a key differentiator, reinforcing the brand’s position as both a trusted operator and an innovative company committed to delivering excitement through diverse channels.”
White says the campaign represents a cornerstone of Jackpot City Casino’s evolving marketing philosophy, which prioritizes localized experiences over conventional digital-only approaches. “This strategy reflects the company’s commitment to maintaining an exciting on-the-ground presence while delivering first class entertainment directly to consumers,” White adds.
White says the online casino is consistently seeking to evolve and by delivering localized marketing not just through digital channels, “but also having an on the ground presence that is exciting, rewarding and meaningful.”
