Church+State has appointed Glen D’Souza as executive creative director in a newly created role at the agency.
D’Souza brings more than 20 years of creative leadership experience and will report to the shop’s president and CEO, Robin Whalen. Most recently he served as head of creative at 72andSunny Toronto after more than seven years at Forsman & Bodenfors Canada, where he worked under the titles of head of creative and an executive creative director.
“We’ve been looking for someone who leads with craft but thinks like an entrepreneur, and Glen is exactly that person,” Whalen tells strategy. “He brings the kind of creative firepower that changes what a team believes is possible.”
The addition of D’Souza signals a continued investment in creative leadership as the agency expands its client roster and service offerings, Whalen added.
“I’ve always admired the strong strategic thinking coming out of Church+State,” D’Souza says. “The chance to join an entrepreneurial team that values both great ideas and the ability to bring them to life quickly made this an exciting next chapter.”
In March, Church+State was named AOR for both Optimize Wealth Management and the Automated External Defibrillator Foundation of Ontario.
