Balmoral Multicultural Marketing has promoted Jeffrey Almeida to agency partner as part of a broader leadership restructuring that also grants equity stakes to several senior executives.
CEO and founder Sharifa Khan said the move is a part of Balmoral’s proactive growth and succession strategy to ensure that, as the company expands, it simultaneously identifies, trains and retains the diverse talent needed to fill critical roles and leadership.
“Jeffrey Almeida, with his significant international experience and agency expertise, is an integral part of our management team and is greatly contributing to Balmoral’s development,” Khan said in a statement. “Elevating [him] to be a partner is a tribute and a logical, progressive step in the agency’s evolution.”
Along with high-level client strategy, Almeida will become more involved and responsible for major business decisions, according to a release.
Almeida, who joined Balmoral in 2018, was promoted to the managing director position in August 2024 to oversee the agency’s day-to-day strategic execution. He previously worked as a group account director at Dyversity Communications from 2012 to 2018 after 15 years working in marketing leadership positions in India and the United Arab Emirates.
“Immersed in a truly multicultural work-life at Balmoral – championing progressive clients and diverse communities – I’m living my Canadian career dream,” Almeida said.
The agency also made shareholders of several longtime executives across operations, creative, account management, production and finance, including Johnson Chang, Nicholas Chan, Lorna Leung, Yuli Wang, Michael Lui, Errol Chapman and Donovan Dsouza.
Balmoral’s team, comprised of more than 40 experienced international employees, is entirely composed of immigrants from China, South Asia, the Middle East and other parts of the world.
The shop has crafted programs based on cultural insights for a number of clients, including OLG, FreshCo and the Canadian Cancer Society.
